Challenge 115: BREAKING NEWS

Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Well, maybe the news doesn’t come with that announcement anymore for most of us, but the news still has to arrive somehow, whether it’s through high-tech sci-fi-esque solutions, old-fashioned newspapers, or just a neighbor yelling “hey, did you hear about” over the back fence! How do your characters get their news? Do they check their favorite news source every chance they get, waiting to see what’s happening? Do they avoid the news at all costs? Or are they usually the news? Write a story about breaking news. BONUS GOAL: “That seems unlikely.” If your story includes this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
