Challenge 160:
INNOCENCE
What does it really mean to be innocent?

Some people might use it in a legal sense, declaring themselves or someone else innocent of a crime, while others might refer to some kind of spiritual state of being free of sin. Sometimes innocence refers to a childlike wonder and lack of knowledge; other times it might indicate a dangerous level of naivete.

Can any of your characters be considered innocent? How do they feel about this answer? Do they think of themselves as innocent, even if others might disagree, or vice versa?

Write a story about innocence.

BONUS GOAL: “I’ve never been a saint.”

If your submission features this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!

Challenge ends Monday, December 5 at 9:00PM EST.
