Challenge 234: COMFORT

A hug, a hot bath, a nice bed, a weekend off – whatever form it takes, sometimes everybody just needs a little comfort. Maybe it’s been a bad day, or a bad week, or a bad year. Maybe your protagonists are sick, or injured, or just tired. Do they need a friend, family member, or partner to come spend some time with them? Do they need a quiet evening by themselves? A blanket and some soup, a mug of hot cocoa and a crackling fire, or a day at the beach? And how do they feel about comfort? Do they seek it out whenever they feel like it, or does it take some work to get them to admit they might need a hug? Write a story about comfort. BONUS GOAL: Hot Chocolate Fixes Everything If your submission features hot drinks (tailored to your characters’ preferences), it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
