Summary: Eliot had known that going to Santa Barbara at all was a mistake, let alone having him by the face of the jaunt into the police station, but everyone else had been burned at this point, leaving him the only option.
Notes: The creators of Leverage totally said that they would have made Shawn and Eliot cousins were it not for the fact that the Psych writers made Leverage fictional, so I just choose to ignore that line of dialogue and carry on as they originally intended. You’re welcome (or I’m sorry?)
