Challenge 087: LEADERSHIP

What makes a leader? Can anyone be a leader, or does it take a specific kind of person? Being a leader can be challenging, but is it ultimately worth it? These are the kinds of questions characters in leadership positions often have to wrestle with. Maybe they feel that they weren’t prepared for their position, or they’ve made some mistakes and lost faith in their own abilities. Maybe they believe in themselves, but the people they’re leading don’t. Maybe they were never meant to lead this many people, or during this kind of crisis. Maybe they’re just musing about all the things they’ve had to learn over the years. Write a story about leadership. BONUS GOAL: “I never expected this.” If your story includes this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
