There are some things that you only get to do once – or only want to do once! Maybe it’s a milestone like learning to ride a bike or playing an instrument for the very first time, something that you can never replicate. For the less-adventurous, maybe it’s skydiving, or swimming with sharks. Maybe it’s the moment the main character gets the call to adventure, knowing that this will be their only chance and if they pass it up that’s it. Maybe it’s the moment two characters look into each other’s eyes and realize they’re in love for the very first time. Whatever it is, it’s something that happens only once in a lifetime. Write a story about something that happens once in a lifetime. If your story is between 700-799 words, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting! |
