INSOMNIA

Have you ever had trouble sleeping?

Maybe there’s a medical reason keeping your characters from sleeping, or maybe they have too much on their minds and can’t relax enough to sleep. Maybe they’d really like to sleep, but the neighbors are throwing a party, or the temperature is too cold or too hot, or they just can’t get comfortable in a sleeping bag. Maybe they’re out in the wilderness, and someone has to stay awake and watch for bears. Whatever the case, no sleep is happening.

What do your characters do instead of sleeping? Do they meditate, or try their best to relax anyway? Take a walk? Get up and work, since they might as well? Can other people tell that they’re not sleeping much, or do they hide their exhaustion well?

Write a story about insomnia.

BONUS GOAL: “Do you ever sleep?”
