Challenge 139:
GETTING LOST

Some people seem to have a near-supernatural ability to always find their way, no matter how dark or convoluted the route. Most of us, however, have experienced some navigational challenges at least a few times! Whether it’s in a crowded mall as a child, in a new city with a lot of winding alleys and one-way streets, or in the forest on an ill-fated camping trip, getting lost is an all-too-common experience for most people.

How are your characters’ navigational skills? Do they get lost frequently, or is it a new and terrifying experience? When they do get lost, is the way out quick and easy, or do they find themselves somewhere dangerous, requiring all of their skills to get them home safely?

Write a story about getting lost.
