Sometimes you just need to get away. The odd day off here and there is all well and good, but sometimes a day off, or even a weekend, just won’t cut it – it’s time to go somewhere else and take a vacation!

Maybe it’s a trip to a popular tourist destination – ski slopes or a tropical island or a beloved resort planet for those space-travelers among us – or maybe it’s somewhere quieter, a cabin in the woods or a sailboat out on the ocean. Does it go well? Do your characters get the relaxing few days, or week, or month that they wanted? Or does the vacation turn out to be even more eventful than whatever they were trying to get away from back home?

Write a story about a vacation.

BONUS GOAL: “Well, that did not go according to plan.”
