REPUTATION

n. overall quality or character as seen or judged by people in general; a place in public esteem or regard; good name

Good or bad, we all have one! Whether your characters are public figures with all eyes on them, or the local hermits who only show their faces in town when there’s a full moon, they have some sort of reputation. What do people think of them? Maybe it’s nothing more than “extremely mysterious”, or maybe there are extremely specific rumors flying around about their love life or their tragic past, or somewhere entirely in between.

And how do your characters feel about their reputations? Are the reputations accurate? Wildly exaggerated? Completely unlike the truth? Do your characters specifically cultivate a particular reputation, or could they not care less about what people think of them?

Write a story about reputation.

BONUS GOAL: “Someone will see you.”
